Dr. Hilary Quinn grew up in Berkeley, California. She attended Duke University and UC Santa Barbara for her undergraduate studies and earned her B.S. in Zoology with an emphasis on ornithology (the study of birds). After college, she moved to Bozeman, Montana to pursue a masters degree in science documentary-filmmaking but couldn't shake her dream of becoming a veterinarian. Dr. Quinn attended Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts where she risked her life by not rooting for the Patriots. After graduating from vet school, she returned to California for advanced training in medicine in surgery at VCA West Los Angeles. Dr. Quinn made the switch from emergency veterinarian to general practitioner at Bay Animal Hospital in September of 2010 and couldn't be happier! Her interests are oncology and internal medicine, and avian/pocket pets as well.
Dr. Quinn shares her house with one husband, two unruly Australian Shepherds (Ennis and Wilder), and a very opinionated African Grey Parrot named Atticus. The Quinn family collective interests are wine-tasting, cooking, beach-combing, chasing squirrels, and flying from room to room (not all interests are shared equally).
Dr. Quinn is very excited to share her love of all critters with the South Bay community, and is looking forward to meeting your furry (or feathery) family members very soon!
